The presence of bacteria and pathogenic (disease-causing) organisms is a concern when considering the safety of drinking water. Pathogenic organisms can cause intestinal infections, dysentery, hepatitis, typhoid fever, cholera, and other illnesses. Bacterial contamination cannot be detected by sight, smell or taste. The only way to know if a water supply contains bacteria is to have it tested.
- People affected by bacterial infection or those with low immunity
- Compliance with Health and Environmental Agencies
- Health Conscious Individuals
- Hospital Hygiene Audits
- Town Or City Water Users
- Water suspected of faecal contamination
With the result of this test it is possible to evaluate the presence of bacteria in the water, to characterize them and to quantify them in order to avoid the contamination through them.

Is treated water subject to the risk of biological contaminants?
It depends on the type of treatment processes used. The recommended treatment for water with microbiological contaminant is disinfection by chlorine, chlorine derivatives, UV or ozone. Even with this type of treatment, analysis is required in order to evaluate the efficiency of the process.
In the case that the customer does not agree with the result of the analysis, can it be redone?
The test results issued are binding. In an instance where you believe that the results are inaccurate, please raise it with us and we will escalate the matter with the lab.
